The 1701 family
The 1701 family — the BIR forms that carry a self-employed person’s tax year: 1701Q (quarterly income tax — May 15, Aug 15, Nov 15), 1701A (annual return for pure business income on the 8% option or OSD), 1701 (annual return for mixed income or itemized deductions) — both annuals due April 15 — plus the relatives: 2551Q (3% percentage tax, graduated non-VAT only), 1707 (unlisted-share sales), and 0619-E/1601-EQ (withholding, e.g. renting to corporate tenants). Note what’s absent: dividends, REIT income, interest, and PSE sales are final-withheld and never touch these forms. The forms carry your agency; the calendar is yours even when an accountant files.
