Acquired assets
Acquired assets — foreclosed properties that passed through auction (and redemption) unsold and now sit on the lender’s books: Pag-IBIG’s massive listings, banks’ acquired-asset portfolios. Sold by negotiated sale at posted prices with published discount menus — Pag-IBIG: 30% off for cash, 20% short-term installment, 10% long-term — with ~10% price cuts per failed auction round and financing sometimes available from the same institution. The recommended first-timer channel: no conditional ownership, no auction fever, published rules.
