MP2 (Modified Pag-IBIG II) — Pag-IBIG’s voluntary savings program: minimum ₱500 per contribution, 5-year maturity, dividends declared annually from the fund’s earnings, guaranteed by the national government and fully tax-free. Its dividend (7%-ish in recent years, historically 4.59%–8.11%) is this course’s peso-yield hurdle: the zero-effort, zero-tax bar every peso-income product must beat. Multiple accounts are allowed, enabling the ladder.
