RTB (Retail Treasury Bond)
RTB (Retail Treasury Bond) — a peso bond through which the national government borrows directly from citizens: ₱5,000 minimum, sold during announced issuance windows via bank apps, Bonds.PH, and Landbank. Pays a fixed quarterly coupon (taxed 20% at source) for its tenor, then returns principal. Below MP2 on net yield, but contractual, cash-flowing quarterly, and sellable early on the secondary market — at a price that moves with rates.
