Stock transaction tax

Stock transaction tax — 0.6% of the gross selling price, withheld automatically when you sell PSE-listed shares. It is final: no capital-gains tax applies to listed-share gains, nothing is filed, nothing declared on winners. Charged on gross, so it’s owed even on losing sales. Administratively, this makes the PSE the lowest-friction taxable asset class in the country.
